Stemming from influences of ‘90s R&B and admiration for artists such as Toni Braxton, Mariah Carey, Brandy, and Tamia, Saliyah Itoka brings a fresh and different vibe to the music scene and continues to stay authentic. Making a name for herself in 2018 with her first single, “In My Bed”, Saliyah Itoka surfaced on the scene with “VII:7”, an EP breaking down what she calls the seven stages of a relationship. From real life experiences coupled with vulnerable lyrics, the singer/songwriter isn’t shy about being honest in her music. Fast forward to October 2021, she released her second EP titled “Virgo”, a collection of music that explores her experiences and emotions encountered with dealing with a partner of the same sign. This project ushered a blend of today’s vibes mixed with her own undeniable sensuality on lead single, “Issa Vibe”, which she seduces listeners about spending time together.
Enhancing her sound, Saliyah teamed up with local rapper/producer, Clear Mind, to create the latest EP, “In My Feelings” which debuted on April 21, 2023 and features singles, “Potential” and “Get Back”.
